Our Family

We just got fall family photos taken by my friend, Tracy Seconi. I'm so excited about them, because we went somewhere and had them done on location for the first time. I'm sending one out in Christmas cards that's different than these, but these are a few of my favorites.

This Summer in South Dakota

We had a great trip out west this summer. The kids and I drove out to Utah, and spent 3 weeks all over the state. On our way home, we went to The Crazy Horse Monument, Mount Rushmore, and the Badlands while we were in South Dakota. It was awesome.
Please don't die of shock, but I'm actually updating this thing! I have to be the worst ever at this, and I'm sorry. I am gonna try and add some pics later, the last two times I've tried, I had errors and just haven't gotten back to it. Anyway, I just want to say our Thanksgiving was wonderful, and now we're getting ready for the holidays! I hope all my blogger friends are happy, healthy and staying warm!

Welcome to Nassau!

We sailed all night to get to Nassau, and spent all day saturday there. Here, we walked into town to see the shops, and a small part of the city. We sailed right past the Atlantis resort, it is awesome! On deck, one of the chefs carved this ice sculpture in about 20 minutes, it was awesome to watch! We went scuba diving on this day too, but I don't have any pics of that yet because I just took a little waterproof camera. It was a great experience for Bill and I to do that. We sailed out for about 45 minutes from the pier and the water in the ocean was as clear as ever the whole way out. When we got to the diving spot, it was only 12 feet or so deep. That night, we went to a formal dinner all dressed up and it was so much fun! We had such a great day seeing and experiencing new things! What a beautiful place!

AAHHH, Freeport!

This day was kinda funny because we got to Freeport a little late, and alot of the excursions were cancelled. So, we planned to go scuba diving, and ended up switching to our dolphin encounter. So, I didn't do my hair or put on make up because I planned to be under water! Oh well, it was awesome. It was such a great experience to be so up close and personal with the dolphins. They gave each of us a kiss at the end, and it was a very informative time! Freeport was small, but really has blue/green water and white sand. We watched this gorgeous sunset from the deck of the ship while we ate a snack after getting back from our dolphin experience! Gorgeous!

Sailing Away!

Wow, we couldn't believe it, the time had finally come to take our cruise! We had such a great time and the only thing we decided was 4 days is not long enough! It was a little windy when we sailed out of Jacksonville, but we knew we'd be in Freeport the next day and all is well! ha ha

Pioneer Trek

Jayden just went on the pioneer trek, Dec 29-Jan 1st. They had about 150 kids go. It is the first time they've done it in the winter because it gets so hot here in the summer, it is really hard to get through the trek without dehydrating. So, Jayden was a little cold! It was a great experience and I cried when I watched him come in to finish the trek. I was so touched by the spirit and so grateful that he went. There were several youth I knew there, and I was so proud of all of them! The people that planned it did a great job. :-)

Merry Christmas!!

We had a great Christmas. I am just a little slow getting some pics on here. The best was getting Guitar Hero World Tour for the 360, and Dance Dance Revolution for the Wii. I love the DDR game! I'm slightly addicted to it, actually. The Guitar Hero is so fun because we can all play together. Even Shjon is learning the guitar and drums! Jayden put on Katy's Hannah Montana wig, and was rocking out. We were laughing so hard we could barely do the song! It is so much fun.

Georgia Aquarium

On Dec. 22, 2008, we went to the GA Aquarium in Atlanta. It was a lot of fun. We saw so many different kinds of fish, and sharks! They swam over our heads in certain parts, and we thought it was so cool. We watched a 3-D movie and even had some hands on experience! Jayden touched some shrimps that were running around! Shjon touched whatever that spongey thing is under his hand, Katlyn was nervous and I don't think she ever actually touched it, but maybe for a millisecond! The Beluga Whale was awesome to watch. We saw Arland that day too, but I forgot to take a picture! (lame-O) He looks AWESOME and we had a short and sweet visit!
