Merry Christmas!!

We want to wish all of our friends a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I am forgetting all the political jargain and just saying it how I feel! If I didn't mail you a card, please forgive me! We are so grateful for Jesus Christ and the example he set for us in giving us the ultimate gift...eternal life. We are grateful for this opportunity to reflect on his goodness to us, and ways to reciprocate it to others. Our lives are blessed so much by the knowledge we have of Him. Enjoy the season and have a blessed day!

Hockey!!

Seeing as how I am quick like a tree, meaning very slow, I just realized I have no pictures of my kids playing hockey on the blog!! We just spent the weekend in Greensboro, NC for Blake to play 4 games. He is on the Columbia Cyclones Bantam travel team. He is enjoying playing with this team alot. Jayden is on 2 teams right now, the Columbia Cyclones travel 16u team, and the Columbia Wildcats High School team. He played 5 games last weekend, so it was a divide and conquer event! Both boys are playing hard, and enjoying the season. Jayden is in the top 2 pics, and Blake is in the bottome 2. Thought I better mention that since they are both the same # - 87.

Crazy Times!

Sorry I haven't been very good at updating this blog through out the fall. We had Katy and Shjon in soccer, Blake in football, and Jayden and Blake in ice hockey. We have been very busy, and I don't even have all those pics downloaded yet.

Right now, I am in the process of getting Christmas cards ready to mail out, and hope to include a family pic, but it won't be one that I put on here if it happens! I finally rounded up the troops, and got some pictures done this past week. I think they turned out pretty good. We just put up our Christmas decorations this weekend, and the kids are excited of course! We hope all of our family and friends have a wonderful holiday, and I will try and be better about updating this blog!

Strom Thurmond Lake

We spent a lot of Saturdays at the lake this summer. It was so awesome! The water stays about 78 degrees and is perfect! We have met some great friends here, and one really cool family, the Harriells have a boat! So, Jayden and Bill decided to learn to wake board, and I even did it a few times, well a lot of times if you count all the ones where I couldn't even get out of the water! Katy and Shjon used some trainer water skis, and did great with that, but need to be a little bigger to get the wake boarding down! All in all, lots of fun memories at the lake for us this summer.

Our New Trampoline

We got a new trampoline, and Blake's favorite thing to do, is jump on it when we are having torrential downpours, which happen much more often than they did in California! He did not know I was taking these pictures, until the end, so it was fun to watch him enjoying the rain and the trampoline at the same time!

The Red Hill

We went on the Red Hill to take pictures the night before we left Utah! We had so much fun with all of our family and friends! I am so happy to finally be finishing the summer posts and move on already!

St. George

We loved visiting St. George. The temple there is so beautiful! I didn't know what a blessing it was to wake up each morning and look at it out my bedroom window! We also visited with Grandpa Blake. It is always so good to see him! This was the end of June '08.

Monticello

The next stop on our escapade through Utah was Monticello. We did lots of things there with our family, such as hiking up on the mountains and fishing. There was a bear that showed up while we were fishing, on the other side of the lake. Pretty scary? Yes, indeed. However we all survived without any injuiries. We also found about a 5 inch water snake there too. It was quite the dangerous trip.

Hiking

This is from when we hiked for dinosaur tracks. They were a little bit hard to see, but were there. We were with Grandma Nadine, and some more of our Haggerty cousins as well. It was also very, very hot.

Love was felt in Roosevelt

We met John (Bill's little brother) and Kelly's baby "River", and Sean & Christine's baby Dylan while we were in Roosevelt. There was also Grandma Nadine, Grandpa Larry, and a whole bunch of other Haggerty's there.

4 Wheelin'

While we were in Roosevelt, hangin out with some family, one of our favorite things to do was ride the 4 wheeler's with our cousins. We pretty much rode them relentlessly (every day we were there, i'm almost positive) and had lots of fun. It was mostly just the cousins riding them to hang out, but on the first day there were some parents that rode.

We spent the whole month of June on vacation in beautiful Utah. After driving for 34 hours straight through to get there, of course. Anyways, we had lots of fun with our family while we were there. We started in Roosevelt, then drove to Monticello, and then St. George, staying at each place for about a week. We will put up some pictures from our adventure shortly.

First Post...(Finally)

We're so excited to start this blog to be able to keep in touch with our family and friends! Any one who knows us knows that we've moved a lot, so we have friends and family everywhere! We've been in South Carolina for a WHOLE YEAR now, and we're having lots of fun!
